An Auto Shop Spring Tx is giving away free brake pads in exchange for the Marines’ “Toys for Tots” program!

ABR Houston is teaming up with the U.S Marine Corps to make Christmas merrier for the less fortunate children here in the Houston community.

Giving children toys for Christmas first started in England in the early nineteenth century.

A University of Toledo study shows us that children who play in environments with even a few toys tend to display sustained levels of cognition, perception, imagination, attention, and motor coordination.

A child shows deeper and sophisticated play as they become more creative with each toy they have.

Isn’t it heartwarming to see a child’s face light up when they receive a present during the holiday season?

You get your vehicle upgrade and help brighten a child’s Christmas.

Free brake pads will be given to anyone who comes into our shop with a new, unwrapped toy.

AUTO SHOP SPRING TX CHRISTMAS SPECIAL FOR CHILDREN

ABR Houston will serve as a drop-off location for this year as we join the “Toys for Tots” program by the U.S. Marine Corps.

The Marines have been doing this program of giving to our less fortunate kids since 1947. The idea came from Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks with his wife Diane, who served as an inspiration. She asked that her handcrafted dolls be delivered to an agency that supports underprivileged children.

Bill tried to find such an organization to no avail, Diane asked him to start one. They were able to collect and distribute 5,000 toys that year, and it has not stopped since then.

To date, the Marines’ Toys for Tots program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children every year.
